A wideband, low profile transmitarray antenna (TA) operating in Ku-band (12GHz-18GHz) is proposed. The composed of aperiodic units arranged periodically. TA unit mainly three layers, which are metals and substrates. Square patches printed on the substrate top bottom middle layer a Jerusalem slot ground. overall thickness 0.165λ 0 (λ free space wavelength at 15GHz). In Ku-band, insertion less than 0.5dB, reduces backward radiation antenna. 360° phase achieved by changing length patch slot, proposed has flat curve great transmission characteristics. order to verify design, with 351 15GHz fabricated measured. measurement results show that can achieve 37.3% (14.4GHz-20GHz) 1-dB gain bandwidth, 23.06dBi 42.3% aperture efficiency 15GHz, level below -15dB. designed symmetrical structure, so work dual linear polarization or circular polarization.
